St. Lucia bound!
For the past 25 years, Global Volunteers has been dedicated to helping developing regions gain the ability for future generations to reach more of their inherent potential. They have accomplished this through partnerships with local inhabitants and volunteers providing essential services in the form of increased education, agricultural sustainability, availability of health care, nutritional education, labor assistance and material donations. The island of St. Lucia will be taking the mission of Global Volunteers one step farther by having the progress of this project be documented by a group of researchers. The community of Anse la Raye, located on the western coast of the island, serves as the epicenter of this demonstration, showing how community investment and the assistance of short term volunteers can dramatically change a generation.
